TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a very popular motorcycle in the Indian market. It is considered the benchmark in the 160cc sporty commuter segment. The Apache RTR 160 4V was first launched in the year 2018 and over the years, it has received several updates. Now, the bikemaker has just launched the new 2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V BS6 and here are all the details about it.
First of all, straight away, we will be talking about the changes in the new MY 2021 model. So, the new Apache RTR 160 4V gets mechanical updates and it makes more power and more torque than before. It is powered by a BS6 compliant 159.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This motor earlier used to churn out 16.02 PS of maximum power at 8250 RPM and 14.12 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. Now, the updated BS6 motor churns out 17.63 PS of power at 9250 RPM and 14.73 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM.

So, the new Apache RTR 160 4V delivers around 1.61 PS and 0.61 Nm more than before. The engine still comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Also, what's interesting is that it now weighs 2 kgs less than before. The rear disc version now weighs 147 kgs while the rear drum version weighs just 145 kgs. Just like other BS6 Apaches, the new Apache 160 4V also gets TVS' Race-Tuned (RT-FI) fuel-injection technology for enhanced power delivery and fuel economy. It gets GTT or Glide Through Technology feature too for low-speed urban riding and controlled riding experience in the city traffic.

The other bits of the motorcycle remains the same as before. It looks very striking and is available in three stylish colour options. They are - Racing Red, Metallic Blue and Knight Black. The price of the motorcycle remains the same as before. It is priced at Rs. 1.07 lakhs for the single disc variant and Rs. 1.10 lakhs for the dual disc variant.
