PROS
Attractive Design - The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a handsome motorcycle and it grabs eyeballs out on the streets. The motorcycle gets an all-LED headlamp with twin LED DRLs and attractive body decals that give it an aggressive appeal. It features a sharp aerodynamic profile, gets an LED taillamp and an engine cowl too. The new 2021 TVS Apache 160 4V can be had in three colour options. They are - Racing Red, Metallic Blue and Knight Black colours.
Punchy Performance - The updated new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is the most powerful motorcycle in its class. It is powered by a BS6 compliant 159.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This motor churns out 17.63 PS of power at 9250 RPM and 14.73 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and it gets TVS' Race-tuned (RT-FI) fuel-injection technology too for enhanced power delivery and fuel economy.
Decent Hardware - The Apache RTR 160 4V packs in decent hardware. The braking duties on the motorcycle are performed by a disc brake at the front and at the rear, one can choose between a disc and a drum unit. It also gets a single-channel ABS as an additional safety aid. For suspension duties, it gets telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear.
Gets Loads of Features - The new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a feature-rich motorcycle. It gets an all-digital instrument cluster that displays a ton of information. It also gets GTT or Glide Through Technology feature for low-speed urban riding that offers an extremely smooth and controlled riding experience.
CONS
Not Suitable for Tall Riders - The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has compact dimensions and its footpegs are positioned quite high and so the tall riders won't feel very comfortable on its saddle, especially for longer durations.
Gear Position Indicator Removed - The FI version of the BS4 Apache RTR 160 4V used to get the gear position indicator in the instrument cluster. But, that has been removed in the BS6 motorcycle which isn't a good thing.
Brakes - The brakes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V don't offer much feedback and they aren't very confidence aspiring, especially when compared with its rivals.
