Force Gurkha is one of the few budget off-roaders that come to the mind of consumers after the popular Mahindra Thar. The new Gurkha was launched in 2021 and compared to the older model, it has surely grown in features, safety equipment and design but continues to retain its hardcore off-road capability. The 5-door version of the Force Gurkha is in the pipeline too and is expected to launch later this year.
For the first time ever, Gurkha 5-door has been spied undisguised where viewers can make out every detail. While the 5-door version of the Gurkha looks identical to the 3-door version, what's changed is the added length, new 18-inch alloy wheels and more.
The 5-door version now gets 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with 255/60 R18 tyres and also gets large fenders. This gives a hint that along with the length of the car which will be increased, the width too will be given a slight increase. This will make the cabin of the 5-door Gurkha roomier than before.

On the outside, it continues with LED daytime running lights, bonnet indicators, snorkel, bootlid mount spare wheel, black door handles, side steps on either side, black door handles and more. What's missing are the front fog lights and roof carrier but we expect these to be offered as an additional accessory by Force Motors.
On the inside, we can expect an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, all-four power windows, manual HVAC function, fabric upholstery, vanity mirror on the co-driver sunvisor and more. What's interesting is that the new spied model gets double jump seats for the last row.
Mechanically, it will be powered by the same 2.6L diesel engine as the Gurkha 3-door. However, we do expect a bump in power and torque figures for the same. The 3-door Gurkha generates 90 bhp of power at 3200 RPM with a peak torque of 250 Nm right from 1400 RPM. This engine gets mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only.

As of now, the exact launch is not yet confirmed but we do expect Force to bring the Gurkha 5-door by late this year. As for the prices, do expect it to be priced a lakh above the 3-door version. The 3-door Gurkha gets a sticker price of Rs 14.49 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
