Hyundai Motor India is all set to bring several facelifts and new cars to the Indian market this year. One of the most imminent launches is of the 2022 Tucson facelift that Hyundai will be launching in the coming months. The mid-size SUV from the carmaker is their flagship model and has been on sale for several years now. However, this model is in dire need of an update and with its newer generation, it will target Jeep Compass. We share with you the features and its design from this exclusive video.
As can be seen, it gets all-new LED headlights and a redesigned front fascia. The parametric jewel styled grille integrated well with the LED daytime running lights looks quite premium. Hyundai calls the design philosophy of the new Tucson, Sensuous Sportiness. The front and rear bumpers have been reworked and receive faux skid plates that add to a sporty character.
One can also spot the new diamond-cut alloy wheels and the side profile now looks more prominent than before. At the rear, it receives T-shaped tail-lights that get connected with a single LED light bar running across the width of the SUV.

This spied model seems to be the top of the line variant and it will host a number of safety features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), lane assist system, adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance system and more.
Other safety features include as many as six airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, hill-hold control, tyre pressure monitoring system, high-speed alert system, hill descent control, front seat belt reminder, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution and more.
Feature-wise, the new Tucson will get an all-new dashboard layout with soft-touch materials. It will also get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, updated BlueLink technology with additional connected car tech, a digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting and more.
Currently, the Tucson in India is available with two engine options - 2.0L petrol and a 2.0L diesel unit. The petrol belts out 150 bhp of power with 192 Nm of peak torque. This engine is only available in the 2WD form and gets mated to a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.

The oil burner generates a healthy 182 bhp of power with 400 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed AT unit and is available in both 2WD and 4WD options. In the International markets, Tucson gets a 1.6L turbo petrol engine. It is to be seen if Hyundai brings this turbo petrol motor or retains the 2.0L non-turbo engine.
