Hyundai launched the Tucson on August 10 and the new SUV has already grabbed more than 3000 bookings so far. Not only that but the popularity of the new Tucson is such that the waiting period of the SUV has stretched to 10 months.
Powered by two engine options - 2.0L petrol and 2.0L diesel motor. The petrol is the same as found in the Alcazar but with a lower power output. Here, it makes 154 bhp of power with a peak torque of 192 Nm. The oil burner belts out a peak power and torque of 184 bhp and 416 Nm. While the petrol is mated to a 6-speed AT, the diesel gets an -speed torque converter automatic transmission as standard. There is no stick shift on offer like before.
Feature-wise, the new Tucson gets ventilated front cooled seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, BlueLink car tech, Bose sound system and more.

Hyundai Tucson is the only SUV in its segment to offer Level-2 ADAS. Features like lane follow assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear-traffic collision assistance, blind spot collision warning and more. It has a total of 19 ADAS features and all of them can be explained in the video below.
Other safety features in the SUV include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, hill hold and hill descent function, all-wheel disc brakes and more.
Customers can pick from two variants of the 2022 Tucson - Platinum and Signature. It is the latter that is offered with ADAS tech and 4WD set-up. The oil burner is equipped with the 4WD configuration but that too as an option. The Tucson is made available in a total of seven colour options and the price ranges from Rs 27.70 lakh to Rs 34.39 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
