One of the most anticipated cars from Hyundai, the 2022 Tucson is expected to launch by Diwali this year. And even before its launch, the upcoming SUV has been listed on the Hyundai India website. Just a few days ago, the older model was officially removed from the website. In this article, we share with you everything that the upcoming SUV gets, right from the features, and its design to the engine specs.
At the front, it now gets a redesigned fascia with the latest parametric jewel style grille. This further is integrated with LED daytime running lights and it gives an upmarket look to the new-gen Tucson. Both the front and rear bumpers too are now new and receive faux skid plates that give the 2022 Tucson a sportier look.
Furthermore, the Tucson will get new diamond-cut alloy wheels and the same we've spotted in our exclusive video. At the rear, it gets a T-shaped LED taillight design that is connected with a single LED across the width of the SUV.

Currently, the Tucson in India is available with two engine options - 2.0L petrol and a 2.0L diesel unit. The petrol belts out 150 bhp of power with 192 Nm of peak torque. This engine is only available in the 2WD form and gets mated to a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.

The oil burner generates a healthy 182 bhp of power with 400 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed AT unit and is available in both 2WD and 4WD options. In the International markets, Tucson gets a 1.6L turbo petrol engine. It is to be seen if Hyundai brings this turbo petrol motor or retains the 2.0L non-turbo engine.
