As revealed in the latest spy shots, the upcoming Tucson seems on city-run testing. The test car is heavily camouflaged, but, the interior details & overall exterior design outlook is revealed subtly. Talking about the exteriors first, the overall dimensions look bigger than the outgoing model. Hyundai is using the 'Sensuous Sportiness' design philosophy for its upcoming models. The new 2022 Hyundai Creta & 2022 Hyundai Venue are also designed with the same layout.
The design is now sharper & emphasizes the rectangular elements a lot. This can be seen over the new Venue. Subsequently, the new Tucson will also have the same inspired looks as the smaller models. The butch design is still under the cover of camouflage but the 18-inch new diamond-cut alloy wheels are blatantly visible. The overall elements comprehend a fresh & exciting design of the new Tucson SUV.

The main talking point is the one-click that glorifies the interiors. The dashboard layout is all-new with elements seen over the Hyundai Alcazar. The instrument panel is also all-digital which resembles the one on Alcazar. Additionally, the amount of space at the front appears to have grown. The old Tucson offered a lot of space being a 5-seater; whilst the new car will go further.
In terms of features, we expect the use of newer tech like the ADAS, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, head-on collision warning assist, 360-degree parking assist, driver HUD, etc. Being a Hyundai, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, and many such features will be standard offerings on the upcoming Tucson.
The current-gen Tucson came equipped with diesel as well as petrol engine options. Hyundai might offer the new Tucson with a petrol engine only. Internationally, the car is being offered with 2.0-Lt & a 1.6-Lt GDI turbocharged petrol engine. An 8-speed torque converter gearbox & a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox are used respectively for both variants. We anticipate that the Indian model might receive both engine options.
Upon its launch, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will compete with VW Tiguan, Jeep Compass, & Citroen C5 Aircross.
