Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has unveiled its flagship SUV the 2022 Tucson in the Indian market. The availability of ADAS is one of the key highlights of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson along with the new design language and also an array of new technologies. In India, there will be two engine choices for Tucson: a diesel and a petrol engine. And there are two available variants, Platinum and Signature, from which interested buyers can select. 2022 Hyundai Tucson Engine Specifications
For the new Tucson, both petrol and diesel engines will be available. The 2.0-liter VGT diesel engine provides 416 Nm of torque and 184 bhp of maximum power and it comes mated with 8-speed automatic transmission. Whereas the 2.0-liter petrol motor generates 154 bhp of power and 192 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Hyundai Tucson Platinum Variant
The Tucson line-entry-level model is the Platinum model, which is packed with a tonne of amenities despite being a base model. Although only available in 2WD drive configuration, the Tucson Platinum variant offers both petrol and diesel engine options.

Hyundai Tucson Signature Variant
The top-of-the-line Signature model includes all the bells and whistles that the Platinum variant lacked. This model is available with either a diesel or a petrol engine, and the diesel engine also comes with a 4WD configuration.

Aside from the ADAS features of the Signature trim, both models are equally equipped in terms of safety. Both variants come equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill-assist control, downhill brake control, TPMS, rain-sensing wipers, ISOFIX mounts, front and rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines, as well as other safety features.
