Hyundai has launched the mid-life update of its entry-level SUV Venue, which includes new styling and features. In India, the Venue is one of the best-selling vehicles from the South Korean automaker's lineup. The 2022 Venue competes directly with its sister brand's Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 300, and other sub-4 metre SUVs. The 2022 Venue features a completely new design as well as numerous new exterior elements. The redesigned Venue's appearance is enhanced with a front grille inspired by the Palisade, new alloy wheels, a new front, and back bumper, and a new H-shaped connecting rear LED tail lamp. The Sonet, on the other hand, is a mean-looking compact SUV with Kia's signature nose grille, LED tail lamps, and other design elements.

The Sonet is 20 mm wider and 25 mm taller than the 2022 Venue, which isn't much of a difference, but the Sonet's shoulder room is better than the Venue's due to its wide body.

In this regard, the Sonet earns brownie points because its base variant is also available with a diesel engine. Whereas the Venue's base variant is only available with a petrol engine.
2022 Hyundai Venue E vs Kia Sonet HTE - Features
The Hyundai Venue's base model comes with two-tone black and greige interiors, integrated rear seat headrests, front power windows, manual air conditioning controls, and a front USB Type C charger, among other features.
Semi leatherette seats with white stitching, a rear AC vent, front and rear USB charging outlets, front power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and manual air conditioning are among the features of the Kia Sonet.
2022 Hyundai Venue E vs Kia Sonet HTE -Safety
Dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, speed sensing door locks, ISOFIX mounts, and central locking are included in the Hyundai Venue E's safety kit. The Kia Sonet, on the other hand, comes with four airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, and rear parking sensors, among other features.
The Sonet gets additional side airbags and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in the base variant over the Venue.

The Venue is available for an introductory price of Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom) for the E variant. The Kia Sonet HTE petrol variant, on the other hand, costs Rs 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 38,000 cheaper than the 2022 Venue. The diesel variant of the Sonet HTE is priced at Rs 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom).
