The recent spy shots of the test mule of the upcoming 2022 KIA Seltos showcased the ADAS module. Read all the details below.
With the rivals continuously upgrading themselves, Korean carmaker KIA is set to introduce their 2022 KIA Seltos mid-size SUV soon in the market. The new car is expected to feature a lot of new technological advancements including the automated driver assist system (ADAS).
The new spy shots of a test mule have emerged over the internet which showcases the front end of the test car being equipped with an ADAS module.
2022 KIA Seltos
KIA has been working on the update for the Seltos for some time now. The new updated model shall feature changes inside-out. On the exterior front, the new car is anticipated to use a redesigned set of headlights with LED DRLs and projectors. A reworked front bumper design will feature a new front grille and foglamp housings. At the rear end, the facelift is expected to use redesigned LED taillights and minor tweaks to the bumper. We also expect the new Seltos to feature a new alloy wheels design as well.
On the features front, the new SUV will feature ADAS technology along with adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind-spot monitoring, autonomous brake assistance system, etc. The introduction of these modern safety technologies will make the new Seltos safer than the current generation. KIA will also introduce the new Sletos with a panoramic sunroof for additional comfort.
We also expect the new KIA Seltos to come with a revised cabin. A new steering wheel, new switchgear, and a revised touchscreen infotainment system will find their way with the updated car.

While KIA might introduce a new hybrid 1.6-L petrol engine for the international update of the car; the Indian model shall continue using the same technical aspects as that of the current car. An option of 3 different engines which include the 1.5 Lt NA petrol, 1.5 Lt turbo-diesel, and a 1.4 Lt turbo-petrol shall find their way underneath the bonnet of the new car. Gearbox options will also remain the same, meaning the 6-speed iMT, 6-speed manual and the 7-speed DCT automatic transmission will be used for the new car as well.
When launched later this year, the new KIA Seltos will rival the likes of 2022 Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Nissan Kicks etc. We expect a slight bump in the prices of the new car due to the introduction of new technologies and features. The current KIA Seltos retails between Rs 9.95-18.10 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
