On June 27, Mahindra & Mahindra will unveil the next-generation Scorpio N. The forthcoming Scorpio N will be loaded with features and will be available with both a gasoline and diesel engine. With the introduction of the new-generation model, the previous Scorpio will be renamed as 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic. The old model is expected to receive minor feature and design adjustments as a result of the name change.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic
A half-camouflaged current-generation Scorpio was recently spotted inside Mahindra Research Valley, where the Mahindra XUV 300 electric test mule was also spotted, as we previously reported. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic will be based on the current platform but the test mule shows a new front grille design with horizontal stripes and vertical slats. Not only this the side cladding may also receive some minor changes to look distinctive.

When it comes to the interior and features, Mahindra may choose to remove or add features to make the car a comprehensive package. The 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine that delivers 118 bhp and 136.7 bhp of power and maximum torque of 280 and 319 Nm will remain standard on the Mahindra Scorpio Classic.
The arrival of the upcoming SUV has gotten a lot of attention, the car's price tag appears to be more premium which most people will not go for. The Scorpio N will be more expensive than the current-generation SUV due to the addition of new technology and features. The continuation of current gen Scorpio will cater those buyers who want a rugged SUV but don't want to pay a premium price tag.

If we talk about features of the current-gen Scorpio a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automated climate control, dual front airbags, and other features are available The current model, however, lacks some features that will be introduced in the next iteration. The current Scorpio ranges in price from Rs 13.54 lakh to Rs 18.62 lakh (ex-showroom).
