The new-gen Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most anticipated SUVs in the country and now, ahead of its unveil in June 2022, clear spy shots of the vehicle have been leaked. These images share the details of the 2022 Scorpio and how it will look in flesh.
The carmaker has gone a notch ahead with the new Scorpio and has brought the design that now looks more premium than before while retaining its old school charm of the boxy set-up. In addition to this, the cabin layout, features, and safety equipment too will be at par when compared to older generations of the Scorpio.
This new spied Scorpio was spied in the metallic white shade with the old Mahindra logo. We believe that upon its launch, it'll don the new logo of the brand that is also seen on the XUV700. While the aggressive design of the Scorpio has been hunkered down quite a bit, it still looks like a good looker from every angle.

At the front, it now receives the six-slat vertical grille design just like the XUV700, aggressive bumper design, sharper nose and C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The prominent chrome moulds itself well with the upper portion of the headlights and the faux skid plate at the bottom gives the SUV a sportier look.
Moving towards the side then there are prominent body lines that add gives a character to the SUV. This seems to be the top of the line variant as it gets chrome treatment on the window beltline. The length too of the new Scorpio has been increased as you can see the large glasshouse for the third row. The dual-tone alloy wheels do make the SUV stand out from the crows.
At the rear, Scorpio retains its character like before as it still receives a side mounting tailgate. The vertically-mounted LED taillights, black cladding on the lower part of the bumper and faux skid plate make up for the rear profile. Also, the reverse lights and reflectors are placed on the bumper which can be a tricky affair because this part gets damaged the most even in a minor accident if the vehicle is hit from the rear.
Mechanically, the new Scorpio will be powered with two engine options - 2.0L Stallion petrol and a 2.2L mHawk turbocharged diesel unit. We expect the oil burner to be offered in two tunes while the power figure of the petrol is expected to stick north of 150 PS. A 6-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic will be reserved as an option.

As far as the prices are concerned then we expect it to start from Rs 12 lakh and will go all the way up till Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
