Maruti launched the new 2022 Brezza at a price of Rs 7.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Yes, it is a bit higher than before but it gets all the latest tech, modern features, safety equipment and an updated engine. As can be seen, the new Maruti Brezza delivers 20.15 kmpl for the LXI and VXI variants while for the ZXI and ZXI+, the mileage sticks to 19.89 kmpl. These figures are for the stick shift while with the 6-speed AT, the 1.5L delivers 19.80 kmpl.
2022 Maruti Brezza is powered by a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, Dual-Jet, naturally aspirated petrol motor. This engine produces 102 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 136.8 Nm. It is the same engine as found in the Maruti Ertiga, XL6 and will be seen with the upcoming S-Cross. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option.

In other news, Maruti is all set to bring a new SUV that shares the same platform as Toyota Hyryder. It is codenamed YFG and will be offered with two engine options - 1.5L mild hybrid and 1.5-litre, strong hybrid. Once launched, the upcoming SUV will target Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun.
