India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki is all optimistic about 2022 and will be bringing in many new cars as well as mid-cycle facelifts to the existing models. The 2022 Maruti Ertiga is one such anticipated MPV from the carmaker that will be launched soon. While several camouflaged shots of the same have been spotted several times, this will be probably the first time the new Ertiga has been caught undisguised and the details are prominent now.
The new Ertiga has been spotted with new 15-inch alloy wheels design and a similar rear design to the XL6. The boot stripe finished in a piano black finish that is seen on the XL6 will now be observed with the Ertiga too. Other than that, the design of the Ertiga will unlikely to be changed except for the redesigned front grille. It continues to feature the same headlight design with projector set-up.
We believe that even the colour options will remain identical to the pre-lift model that is on sale right now. You can choose from five different colour schemes and those are - Metallic Magma Grey, Pearl Metallic Auburn Red, Pearl Metallic Oxford Blue. Metallic Silky Silver and Pearl Metallic White.

The cabin of the Ertiga is expected to remain the same as before. However, we do expect a new touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the top-spec variants. In addition to this, we can also expect cruise control for the ZXI+ variant.
Other features like automatic climate control, all four power windows, a flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted control, power-folding outside rearview mirror, rear parking camera and others will continue like before. Safety equipment includes ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, dual airbags at the front, high-speed alert system, speed-sensing door lock and front seat belt reminder.
Mechanically, things will remain unchanged and 2022 Ertiga will continue to feature the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. This engine generates as much as 103 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 138 Nm. This motor is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and the 4-speed torque converter is expected to be replaced by a 6-speed AT as an option. Maruti Ertiga is a front-wheel drive MPV.

With the new 6-speed AT, the prices of the Ertiga will certainly rise. As of now, Ertiga is priced from Rs 8.11 lakh to Rs 10.84 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
