2022 Suzuki Katana Design & Features
The Katana is a naked sports bike that found its name through a Japanese Samurai sword. Suzuki introduced the Katana in Japan back in 181. The production continued till 2006 before being discontinued.
The new 2022 bike resembles a similar design essence as its ancestors. The rectangular LED headlight is fixed with a semi-fairing. It is attached to the fuel tank via extensions that make it stand apart in the design.
The overall dimensions are big but the short wheelbase helps make for a swift city handler. The tail section is short while it embraces the fat rear tyres & the 4-1 side exhaust.
Suzuki is offering the Katana with a digital instrument panel that also comes with Bluetooth connectivity. Also, there are two different dual-tone colour options. One is a Metallic Stellar Blue with bronze alloy wheels, the other is a Solid Iron Gray with matt-black alloy wheels.

Engine & Specifications
Encouraged by its MotoGP achievements, Suzuki uses complex yet reliable technology for its 999cc engine. It is an inline-four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces a healthy 150 hp of peak power.
Although, Suzuki is not showcasing the power & torque figures for the Indian variant. We assume that being a CBU, the above remains the same as that of the global models.
A 6-speed constant mesh gearbox is being used to deliver the power to the rear wheel. It also comprises a slipper-assist clutch for seamless redline gear shifting. Suzuki Katana comes equipped with a fully adjustable USD front suspension & a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock suspension.
Suzuki is also offering 3 different riding modes along with a bi-directional quickshifter, and ride-by-wire tech for ease of riding. This package is called S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System).
