Tata Motors have introduced a new variant to the Harrier line-up, XZS. This new trim sits between the XZ and XZ+ and is available in both manual as well as automatic transmission. Both dual-tone as well as dark edition options are also available with this recently launched variant.

When compared with the XZ variant then it is pricier by Rs 1.35 lakh and Rs 35,000 cheaper than the range topping XZ+. Feature-wise, it now gets a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, 6-way electrically adjustable drivers seat, adjustable lumbar support and auto IRVM.

It continues with the features that are available in the XZ variant like a larger 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, power folding ORVMs, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control and others. When compared with the top of the line XZ+ variant then the recently launched XZS trim misses out on just two features and those are ventilated seats and iRA connected car technology.
Safety equipment on this variant include as many as six airbags, a high speed alert system, front seat-belt reminder, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and ESP, hill hold control, hill descent control, traction control, speed sensing door locks and more.

Mechanically, nithing is changed and it gets powred by the same 2.0-litre FCA sourced, turbocharged diesel motor. It generates as much as 168 bhp of power with a peak torque of 350 Nm. This engine gets mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard along with an optional 6-speed torque converter gearbox.
