The longer wheelbase version of the Mahindra Bolero Neo has been spotted on quite some occasions already. It is coming with a Plus added to the name, making it self-explanatory. Since it is inching closer to its launch, a new RTO filing makes the engine specs and variants on offer, known to us.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus- Engine, Power, And Variants
What the RTO filing suggests is the engine details and the variants on offer. According to the document, the Bolero Neo Plus is coming in six variants P4 7Str, P10, P10 (R), P10 7Str, P10 7Str (R) as well as an ambulance-centric P4 5Str model. Mahindra will offer the extended version of the Bolero Neo in both 7- and 9-seater configurations. On top of this, the ambulance version will be offered in a five-seater layout, making room for the stretcher.
Engine
The engine unit is a 2.2-liter diesel mill that is good for 120 PS power. The regular Neo, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.5-liter diesel unit that churns out 100 PS power with a peak torque of 260 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

What To Expect From The Bolero Neo Plus
Coming to exteriors, it will get a revised front grille along with a revised rear bumper with a few tweaks. Comparing it with the existing Bolero Neo, the rear profile gets more rounded body lines. Taking a leaf from the existing design language, you can, at one glance spot that this is a Bolero Neo lineage.
Coming to the cabin and features, they are going to be identical to the current Bolero. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver seat, and more. On the safety front dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
VERDICT- Since the Plus variant is inching closer to the launch, RTO filing gets us closer to the final details. While both 7 and 9-seater versions will be on offer, an ambulance-specific variant is a thoughtful touch.
