2023 Hero Xtreme 160R Details
The upcoming Xtreme 160R is going to get numerous changes to its design. Its first test mule was captured back in October'22. However, at that time it looked under development. But, the latest spy pics suggest to us that it is near production-ready. Speaking of changes, it might get reworked body panels and updated lights on it. However, the base design and theme shall remain more or less the same. The Xtreme is already a sporty bike and the new update shall make it more exciting. In terms of features, we're expecting that it'll get more connected updates & maybe some utility-based features as well.
As this will be a mid-life update, its engine, and specifications are likely to remain unchanged. However, the engine will be reworked to some extent to provide more refinement & fuel economy. The current version uses a 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes a peak power of 15 bhp & 14 Nm of peak torque. This engine is linked to a 5-speed transmission. It also comes with disc brakes at both of its ends and offers single-channel ABS as well. We suspect that these specs and power figures will remain unchanged on the new bike.
Verdict
Hero is currently working extensively on its upcoming lineup. It'll soon introduce a new Karizma XMR 210 and it is also working on a bigger Xpulse ADV. Also, the new updated Xtreme will directly compete with Bajaj N160 & the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. The new mild updates will lead to a slight increase in its pricing. The current model is priced between Rs 1.19 - 1.30 lakh.
