KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Honda Elevate SUV launched at Rs 11 lakhs ex-showroom
- Comes with a single-engine option
- Rivals the likes of Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and other mid-size SUVs
Honda Elevate is finally here at a starting price of Rs. 11 Lakhs after its unveiling last month. While it was a late entry for the Japanese brand into this hotly contested and also one of the most desired at the moment, it offers a refreshing new option for buyers. While the SUV comes with a lot to offer on higher trims, its base variant is priced at Rs. 11 lakhs ex-showroom.
And that is also what we are going to check-out in this section. Let's look at what you get with the base variant of Honda Elevate.
Honda Elevate Base Variant SV Walkaround
The entry model of this SUV is covered by a YouTube channel named The Car Show, where we get to see the things that it offers ( also the ones that it misses out on!).
The Elevate SV variant may lack certain features such as wheel covers, fog lights, rear defogger, rear washer, and wiper. It stands out with body-colored pillars instead of the black ones found in higher variants.

Nevertheless, Honda deserves credit for including LED headlights and LED tail lights as standard features even in the base SV trim. Keyless entry and push-button start are also standard in the base SV variant.
Coming to the side profile, the base trim gets 16-inch steel wheels, and without any covers. The door handles are body-colored but get request sensors on both the driver's and co-driver's side. The ORVMs are body colored as well but come integrated with turn indicators.
Furthermore, the Elevate SV trim offers additional standard features like a front center armrest, rear AC vents, all four power windows, automatic climate control, and audio controls on the steering wheel.
Although it includes steering-mounted controls, Honda does not bundle an infotainment system with SV variants. The electrically adjustable ORVMs are a practical addition, even though they are not power foldable, which is reasonable for a base variant.
The second row offers plenty of room with 2 adjustable headrests along with rear AC vents for effective cooling. As mentioned earlier, you do not get an armrest, which is fine considering that we are talking about the entry-level trim.
Powertrain
The Honda Elevate is powered by the same 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine found in the Honda City. This engine generates a robust 119 bhp of power and 145 Nm of torque. Buyers have the option of choosing between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. You only get this single-engine option with the Honda Elevate.
In terms of fuel efficiency, Honda claims impressive figures of 15 km/l for the manual transmission and 16 km/l for the CVT variant. Notably, Honda has negated any hybrid powertrain in the future for Elevate.
Price And Rivals
The ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 11 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 15.99 lakhs. Variant-wise price list is as follows.
Honda Elevate | SV | V | VX | ZX |
MT | 10.99 | 12.10 | 13.49 | 14.89 |
CVT | - | 13.20 | 14.59 | 15.99 |
The Honda Elevate competes in a highly competitive segment, taking on prominent rivals such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
Verdict
While the base variant misses out on various features, the Honda Elevate tries to strike a balance. With certain loadings taking a miss, LED headlamps and tail lamps, steering mounted controls, rear AC vents, and electrically adjustable ORVMs adds a good amount of prcticality to the cabin. It is noteworthy to remember that on the top end variant, Elevate comes with ADAS suit, which at the moment, is a desirable feature in the subcontinent.
