Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has updated the safety features of its Creta & Alcazar SUVs for the 2023 model year. The brand has increased the costs of the Creta by up to Rs 45,000 in addition to upgrading the safety features. In order to comply with the upcoming RDE (Rear Driving Emission) requirements, the company has also begun updating its car lineup. And, the new MY2023 models of newly launched Grand i10 NIOS, Aura and now Creta, Alcazar and Venue are ready to meet up the RDE norms.

MY'23 Hyundai Creta & Alcazar Feature Updates
The Creta and Alcazar offer a variety of extensive Active and Passive safety measures as standard equipment as part of the MY'23 model launch. Six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill-Start Assist Control, Rear Disc Brakes, Seatbelt Height Adjustment, and ISOFIX are now included as standard safety equipment for the Creta and Alcazar. On the other hand, the Creta now comes with a 60:40 split rear seat as standard seating.
The inclusion of Idle Stop & Go (ISG), which will improve the fuel economy of the car in traffic situations and in stop-and-go traffic, is one of the other feature updates in MY'23 Hyundai SUVs. The company has also upgraded its powertrains to comply with upcoming RDE compliance standards, and Hyundai SUV engines can now run on E20 fuel.
2023 Hyundai Creta Price Hike
The cost of Hyundai's best-selling SUV, the Creta, has also gone up by as much as Rs 45,000. The SUV's petrol versions now cost between Rs. 10.84 lakh and Rs. 18.34 (ex-showroom) lakh after an increase of Rs. 20,000. The price of the SUV's diesel versions has increased by Rs 45,000, and they are now available for between Rs 11.89 lakh and Rs 19.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

Verdict: The Creta and Alcazar SUVs are now stronger rivals to other SUVs on the market thanks to the latest feature improvements. The Creta is the market leader in its class, and fresh modifications will make it more competitive with other mid-size SUVs like the Skoda Kushaq, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and others.
