2023 Jeep Avenger SUV Design & Features
The ICE-powered Avenger will look more or less the same as the EV version. Meanwhile, the EV Avenger has already been showcased to the global markets. The overall boxy design resembles that of the other models as such the Jeep Compass. In fact, a similar sibling called Jeep Grand Cherokee is launching on 11 November in India with a facelift. However, there are subtle design cues that make it look very different and robust as well. The curvy design is well supported by the 18-inch alloy wheels, square LED headlights, & X-pattern smoked taillights.
Inside the cabin is laid out in the typical Jeep pattern. The three-spoke steering wheels are sourced from the elder sibling cars. However, the digital instrument cluster with a floating 10.25-inch infotainment screen. It also gets dual-zone climate control along with front-powered adjustable seats making it look premium.
Engine & Specifications
The main news remains the use of Citroen's engine. Yes, under its hood will be the same 1.2-Lt turbo-petrol engine as seen on the C3 hatchback. However, it will be definitely re-tuned according to Jeep Avenger's needs. The power output is unknown but we suspect that it will produce somewhere near 100 bhp as peak power. The transmission will be a manual one initially. However, we suspect that Jeep might offer an automatic in the coming months after its launch. Its rivals are - Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, & KIA Sonet.
Verdict
The Jeep Avenger will debut early next year in the global markets. However, it won't be any time before mid-2023 that we can see its debut in India. It is expected to be priced between Rs 8-12 lakh.
