Komaki has introduced the 2023 iteration of its TN-95 EV in India. The 2023 Komaki TN-95 e-scooter has debuted at a starting price of Rs 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom). 2023 Komaki TN-95 - What's New?
There are numerous changes to the latest Tn-95 update. For example, it now gets an anti-skid body with protection guards all around. Also, the battery has been upgraded to LiFePo which is claimed to be fireproof by Komaki. All thanks to the latest AIS 156 norms for strict battery heat management. Also, the new e-scooter gets dual disc brakes & a keyless control via a key fob. In terms of design, nothing has changed but it now gets a luggage top box mounted as standard. Additionally, the scooter is available in two colour options - Cherry Red & Metal Grey. Speaking of its features, it gets a TFT screen, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, cruise control, riding modes, LED lights, reverse assist, a sound system, & even on-ride calling.
Underneath the seat, it gets a big 18-liter of storage space. Komaki has equipped it with a 5kW hub motor that uses a 50 amp controller. The TN-95 can reach up to a top speed of 85 kmph. It is available in two variants with different riding range options. The first option gets less range of 130-150 km while the second option offers 150-180 km of riding range on a single charge. Additionally, the EV can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in 4-5 hours. The pricing of the less-range variant starts from Rs 1.31 lakh while the higher-range version price starts from Rs 1.40 lakh.
Verdict
The TN-95 e-scooter is designed for utility purposes. Its large footboard area and additional storage space will help the riders working for last-mile delivery services. Also, its higher range means less need for charging on the go. Its rivals include the TVS iQube, Ather 450X, & Ola S1 Pro.
