2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor & Continental GT 650 - What's New?
On the newly updated bikes, RE has made numerous changes. One such major upgrade is the addition of alloy wheels. All-new 18-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tyres are now being offered on the new models. Additionally, an LED headlight unit is now standard. This LED unit seems to be taken forward from the Super Meteor 650. Meanwhile, a USB phone charging socket is now also available. Moreover, the switchgear has also been updated with that of the Hunter 350.
While most of the design is unchanged, both bikes now get new colours. The Interceptor 650 is now available with options for four new colours. These are - Black Ray, Cali Green, Black Pearl, & Barcelona Blue. Additionally, the Continental GT 650 is now available with Slipstream Blue & Apex Grey pain options. However, to make both of the bikes more comfortable than before; the seat design is changed now. The rider seat is now more cushion-rich and hence it will give more comfort on the go as per RE. The engine, on the other hand, is the same BS6 RDE-compliant unit. The 648cc parallel-twin engine makes a little bit more torque as both models now get revised ECU.
Verdict
As the deliveries of the new model have commenced, the previous owners will also be relieved from it. How so? Because of the alloy wheel upgrade option now as an OEM fitment. Hence, the new update is a win-win situation for RE in India as well as overseas.
