Tata Harrier Facelift Details
Tata has recently introduced a new Harrier & Safari with ADAS in India. However, both models remain unchanged in terms of design. Meanwhile, the facelift of the Harrier SUV has begun its road testing. As visible in the latest spy shots, the upcoming SUV update will have a long list of changes. The first visible change is the horizontal grille and design aesthetics at the front. Hence, we suspect that it'll possibly get a design inspired by the Harrier EV. Mind you, Harrier EV was displayed at the Auto Expo'23 & it received a generous response from the audience.
Additionally, the rear end of the SUV will get revised taillights. Moreover, a light bar might be fitted on the boot lid that will connect both of the taillights. However, there are no details about the changes to the interiors. But, we anticipate that a new driver console & infotainment system will be placed inside it. Also, Tata might equip it with a reworked dashboard as well as a new steering wheel. The major mechanical update, however, will be the possible addition of a petrol engine option. Tata has already displayed the 1.5-lt turbo-petrol unit at the Auto Expo'23. Hence, this engine might be offered along with the facelift of the Harrier.
Verdict
Tata Harrier has turned out to be a huge success. In fact, the response from customers is overwhelming. But, to beat the rivals like the Mahindra XUV700; Tata must update it. The design is started to get old & so does the lack of petrol engine. Hence, the facelift might improve the situation for Tata in terms of rivalry. We expect the facelift to launch by the end of this year. Also, expect the prices to get rise due to new tech & features.
