2023 Yamaha RayZR 125 & Fascino scooters have launched in India with OBD-II updates. The updated scooters are RDE compliant & get new features.

As the RDE norms end date is coming close, each manufacturer is updating its products. Yamaha India has recently updated its bike lineup with OBD-II sensors. The FZ-X, FZS, MT-15, & R15 have already been updated. However, the 2023 Yamaha RayZR 125 & Fascino scooters have launched with the same updates. Read more details about them below.

2023 Yamaha RayZR 125 & Fascino - Update Details
Both of the models have now been updated with OBD-II sensors. These OBD-II sensors help in regulating emissions in the real world. Speaking of the changes, RayZR now gets a Dark Matte Blue paint. Additionally, the Street Rally variant gets two paint options called Matte Black & Light Grey Vermillion paint options. The Fascino 125 scooter also received a new paint similar to the RayZR i.e. the Dark Matte Blue. In terms of new features both models now get the Y-connect app Bluetooth feature onboard. The engine, however, remains unchanged on both models. The 125cc single-cylinder engine is supported via a smart generator starter motor. This engine makes a peak power of 8.04 bhp & 10.3 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the gearbox used is a seamless CVT automatic. While both models get the same engine; the ECU tuning is different on both. Fascino being a family scooter is tuned for easy delivery and more economy while the RayZR is tuned for sporty riding. Both models are also equipped with Hybrid tech.
Verdict
The OBD-II updated scooter will launch soon. Also, there will be a slight price hike as well. This will be due to the new sensors and other updates. Additionally, Yamaha claims to completely revamp its product lineup with E20 fuel compatibility by the end of this year. In India, its main rivals are Suzuki Access 125 & Honda Activa 125.
