2024 Hero Mavrick 440: Top Highlights

Design

The Hero Mavrick 440 boasts a tough high-tensile steel trellis frame, and its design bears a striking resemblance to the front of the Harley X440. With a classic cruiser vibe, the bike features a low-slung, stretched-out profile and a chopped rear fender. The round headlamp and fog lamp, along with the signature H-shaped DRLs, add a touch of elegance with a modern twist. The Class-D projector headlamps offer intelligent illumination, while the LED taillight gives it a contemporary feel.

Taking a closer look, you'll notice the sculpted tank extensions, shroud, and Y-shaped side cover, highlighting the bike's sturdy metal build and robustness. The overall design seamlessly blends a hint of retro at the front with a modern look from the side. The low-slung, stretched-out profile introduces a fresh touch to the overall aesthetic.

Variants And Colour

Mavrick 440 comes in three different versions: Base, Mid, and Top. The basic model comes in a single version with Arctic White paint and Spoke Wheels. Moving up to the middle-tier models, you have two colour choices: Fearless Red and Celestial Blue, both paired with Alloy Wheels. The top-tier options offer a choice between Phantom Black and Enigma Black, featuring stylish diamond-cut alloys.

Engine

Mavrick comes with a 440 cc air-cooled engine that also features an oil cooler. Its power is maxed out at 20.13 kW/27 bhp, hitting its peak at 6000 rpm, while the maximum torque is 36 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine is a single-cylinder with a 2V SOHC configuration. The bore and stroke measure at 79.6 x 88.4 mm, and the compression ratio is 9.65:1.

When it comes to handling, the Mavrick is equipped with a wet paper pleated type clutch system, specifically a multi-plate, wet-type, assist, and slipper setup. Shifting gears is made easy with the manual 6-speed transmission.

Hardware

It comes with a sturdy Trellis Frame Body and a smooth-riding setup. The front suspension uses a Telescopic Front Fork with a cushion stroke of 130 mm, while the rear features a Hydraulic Twin Shox Swingarm for a comfortable ride with 130 mm rear wheel travel. The bike rolls on tires sized 110/70 - 17 in the front and 150/60 - 17 in the rear.

For braking, it's equipped with a 320 mm disc in the front and a 240 mm disc in the rear. The fuel tank has a capacity of 13.5 litres, ensuring you can go the distance without frequent refuelling.
