Kia India has now made it official; pre-bookings of the 2024 Carnival will begin from September 16, for a minimum amount of Rs 2 lakh. The new Kia Carnival will likely be offered in one fully-loaded trim, and its prices are set to be announced alongside the EV9 on October 3.

2024 Kia Carnival: Things It Will Get
Kia has confirmed some of the new features that will be offered on the new Carnival. These include a 12.3-inch blended screen setup for the infotainment and the digital cluster, along with an electric panoramic sunroof, level-2 ADAS with 23 functions, one-touch powered rear door, powered relaxation seats with ventilation and leg support for the second row, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system among others.
In terms of design, the 2024 Carnival has become a tad more SUV-like with its slightly squared-off stance. The grille has become larger, it gets stylish 19-inch alloy wheels, and it also gets sleeker LED tail lights at the rear.
Kia has not commented on the powertrain yet, but we are likely to continued with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission with eco drive mode.

The 2024 Carnival will also command a premium over the older model, which was priced at Rs 30.99 lakh (ex-showroom), due to the fact that it was a CKD model. With the new Carnival likely to come in as a CBU, we can expect it to be priced around the Rs 45-50 lakh price bracket. It will also not have any direct rivals.
Verdict
The 2024 Carnival will be a lot more luxurious and bigger than the older model, and it benefits from its unique positioning in the market. With an improved design and added luxury, the new Carnival should certainly find more buyers.
