The upcoming Sonet facelift brings notable enhancements over its predecessor. Exterior changes feature new LED headlamps, taillights, and DRLs, along with 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a distinct LED light bar on the tailgate. The front and rear bumpers are tweaked for a refreshed look. Inside, the model introduces Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, and rear door sunshade curtains, elevating the overall driving experience and interior comfort.
Powertrain
The Sonet facelift retains its three-engine lineup: an 83hp, 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox; a 120hp, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine; and a 116hp, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. The turbo-petrol and diesel variants are equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch and 6-speed torque converter automatic, respectively. Additionally, the turbo-petrol and diesel versions offer a 6-speed iMT and a 6-speed manual, respectively, with the manual returning to the diesel variant.
Verdict
The revelation of mileage figures ahead of launch is one tactical move by the brand to highlight the efficiency of the engines employed. While the 22 kmpl mark is crossed with the diesel unit, the minimum claimed economy starts from 18.60 kmpl, which in itself is a decent number to clock. With launch set to place soon in the coming days, it is sure to ruffle some ferathers in the segment.
