Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Will Get New Design and Features
The biggest change to the upcoming facelift will be its major exterior design overhaul. As seen in the spy shots, the new design looks inspired by the upcoming Mahindra BE09 and BE05 EVs. A sharp C-shaped LED DRL and a new nose with a new grille and bumper will replace the old design. On the side, the alloy wheels will also get a new design. Moreover, the tail will get a new boot with C-shaped, sharp LED taillights and a connected bar light on the boot.
On the interior, it'll get a new dashboard inspired by the updated XUV400. A Scorpio N-sourced steering wheel, a digital instrument console, and a bigger infotainment screen with more connected features will be offered. Mahindra will offer rear AC vents, a 360-degree parking camera, ventilated front seats, and more such features in the new model.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Engine Options, Price, and Launch Date
Being a facelift, it'll not get a new engine. The three engine options that are offered on the current model will continue as they are. These include - a 1.5-lt turbo-diesel, a 1.2-lt turbo-petrol, and a 1.2-lt TGDi turbo-petro. Mahindra will offer these with the options of 6-speed MT, 6-speed AMT, and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions.
With the new features and added safety, the pricing will surely hike by a few thousand for the facelift. The launch of this model is expected in the coming weeks. Moreover, rivals like Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Brezza have already updated. Hence, Mahindra will not extend this launch for long.
Verdict
The updated XUV300 will be Mahindra's second attempt in this segment of compact SUVs. With its latest cabin upgrades and a new design, Mahindra expects to revive the sales of the XUV300 moniker.
