Jeep India has launched the 2025 Jeep Meridian with new variants and features starting at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has added two new base variants in the lineup that offer a better entry point for a D-segment SUV. Moreover, the brand has now updated the existing variants with new interior themes, and the top-spec variant now gets enhanced safety with level 2 ADAS features. 2025 Jeep Meridian - What's New?
The Jeep Meridian now comes with two new base variants namely Longitude and Longitude Plus. The new entry-level Longitude variant comes with a 5-seater configuration. The brand has not made any changes to the exterior of the SUV and it continues to get automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, Jeep's signature grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, and an LED tail lamp among other exterior highlights. On the inside, the base variant gets seal grey leatherette upholstery, a 5-seat configuration, 10.1-inch infotainment, and dual-zone climate control, among other features.
The Longitude Plus is the second new variant in the Jeep lineup, offering added comfort over the base variant. This variant is available in a 7-seater configuration and offers added features such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, auto-dimming IRVM, and LED fog lamps. Both the Longitude and Longitude Plus variant comes with a Seal Grey interior and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Limited (O) variant now comes with a new Wicker Beige upholstery, Uconnect connectivity with remote engine start with AC preconditioning. Moreover, the top-of-the-line Overland variant comes with Tupelo upholstery, a Level 2 ADAS suite with 11 features among other features. The ADAS features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning among other features. Other features of these variants include an electric tailgate, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, and more.

2025 Jeep Meridian - Engine & Drivetrain
The 2025 Jeep Meridian continues to offer a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 168 bhp of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. All the variants can be purchased with an option of a 6-speed MT or a 9-speed AT gearbox. The Overland variant comes with a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission only. The base Longitude & Longitude Plus variants are available with a 4X2 drivetrain only while the Limited (O) and Overland come with a 4X4 drivetrain.
Verdict
The new Jeep Meridian offers better affordability with the new Longitude variant. The lower starting price gives a good competitive edge to the Meridian in front of the rivals like Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 in the same price range. Jeep India will be able to attract more customers towards the Meridian with this new pricing.
