35000+ Units in Just 100 Days: Why is The Maruti S-Presso a Hit?

Maruti Suzuki launched the S-Presso in September 2019 and since then, it has received a great response from the market, In just about 100 days, Maruti Suzuki sold over 35000+ units of the S-Presso. Today, we will be telling you the reasons why the S-Presso is an instant hit over other Maruti hatchbacks like Alto k10 and Celerio.

SUV inspired design:

Suzuki S-Presso is the production form of the Future S concept shown at the 2018 Auto Expo. It attains the SUV silhouette with a tall flat bonnet and a high sitting position. The trendsetter of this segment was the Renault Kwid which did great for Renault and then Maruti Suzuki also followed the same recipe to make the S-Presso. The tall boy stance also offers good interior space and it also helps in road presence.

High ground clearance:

Indian roads aren't the example of smooth silky highways. Our roads tend to become very rough and scary once you hit the countryside. Most of the hatchbacks bottom out easily but that shouldn't be the case with the S-Presso. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso sits high at 180 mm and that is good enough to tackle bad patches of the road.

Peppy Engine and Smooth AMT:

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes with the BS6 compliant 1.0-litre 3 pot petrol engine which produces 68 hp and 91 Nm of torque paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. Thanks to the lightweight, the engine feels peppy and performs really well in acceleration. It is also very frugal with a claimed mileage of 21.7 km/l. The cherry on the cake becomes the fairly smooth-shifting AMT gearbox which delivers a great experience in city traffic.

Fairly equipped interiors:

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes with all the useful features like ABS, EBD, Dual airbags, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple car Play and front power windows. There are a lot of customization options like the dual-tone roof, dual-tone alloy wheels, body cladding, LED DRLs and chrome accessories too. All these additions make it more appealing than its siblings like Alto K10 and Celerio.

Maruti Suzuki after-sales support:

One of the reasons for the success of Maruti Suzuki in India has to be the after-sales support and resale value. Maruti Suzuki has a widespread dealership and service network even in small towns and villages. It makes the whole ownership experience hassle-free and S-Presso enjoys this advantage too.
