1. 6 Airbags
The Nissan Magnite recently received a facelift that included an upgrade to its safety features. The Magnite now comes standard with six airbags. In contrast, the Tata Punch, despite its recent update, continues to offer only dual airbags across all variants. This is a notable omission for the Tata Nexon, especially considering the brand's reputation for safety. It's worth noting that while the Punch and Nexon are both popular choices in their segment, the Magnite's enhanced safety features could give it a competitive advantage.
2. 360-Degree Camera
The Nissan Magnite has always offered a 360-degree camera, even before the facelift. This feature is now available on the higher-spec Tekna variant of the facelifted Magnite. In contrast, the Tata Punch is only equipped with a rear parking camera. However, with the trend noticed with Tata cars that continually update with evolving competition, I expect some of these features to be introduced soon with the Punch as well.
3. Fully Digital Instrument Cluster
The Nissan Magnite has always featured a 7-inch fully digital driver's display. The facelift brought updated graphics to this screen, but it's only available on the Acenta Plus variant and above. In contrast, the Tata Punch offers a semi-digital instrument cluster from its base variant.
4. Remote Engine Start
The facelifted Nissan Magnite offers remote start and auto locking/unlocking features using the key fob. These features are not available on the Tata Punch. As soon as you walk towards the car, it automatically unlocks and as you move away after exiting the vehicle, it similarly locks the car which is a pretty handy and feel-good feature to flaunt.

5. Ambient Lighting
The updated Nissan Magnite now offers a 4 color ambient lighting inside the cabin that offers a more accommodating experience and the customization adds to the visual aura. Tata Punch, on the other hand, misses out on this aesthetic add-on. But unlike the other features, this is something that will not make much of a difference.
Special Mention: LED Headlamps
Another honorable mention is the all-LED headlamp set-up that adorns the Nissan Magnite facelift rather than a halogen projector set-up found on the Tata Punch. It now only has a better power-saving nature, but also adds a notable bling to the illumination at dark patches on the road.
Verdict
The Nissan Magnite carried the brand on its shoulders for quite sometime and buyers were regularly taking one home. Although it never posed a serious risk to any rival, it is now changing and the micro SUV is starting to bring a serious package to the table. This happens on the back of the recently launched Nissan X-Trail that brings with it some breathing room for the Magnite to really toy around with things, it kept itself away from.
