KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Mahindra 3XO (XUV300 facelift) launch soon
- Debut slated for April 29, 2024
- Comes with a host of new features including Panoramic sunroof, fully-digital instrument console, and more
Mahindra XUV300 was a strong contender in the sub-4 meter SUV space when it was launched. And why not? 7 airbags in 2019, steering modes, and a 5-star rated build quality. It was a hit machine but slowly when competition evolved, it started to show its age. But now, the facelift is coming soon with the Mahindra 3XO moniker and it is brimmed with class-leading tech on-board. Let's look at the new features that the upcoming 3XO will offer over the XUV300, but before that make sure to join our 91Wheels WhatsApp Group community of petrolheads to never miss out on any updates from the automotive world.

1. Panoramic Sunroof: Segment-First
Ditching the single-pane sunroof of the XUV300, Mahindra 3XO is all set to introduce the segment-first panoramic sunroof. While sunroofs have been a hot choice for young buyers, the addition of a panoramic sunroof itself is a big push to the mass appeal of the SUV. This is almost certain to sway buyers away from competition.
2. Fully Digital Instrument Cluster
Moving past the analog cluster of the XUV300, the upcoming facelift is coming with a fully digital instrument cluster that improves the overall feel of the driving experience. Interestingly, ever since the XUV700 came, the demand for a more futuristic cabin, especially the instrument console has taken a big pump.
3. Bigger Infotainment Touchscreen
The Mahindra 3XO is coming with a bigger infotainment real estate with a new 10.25-inch unit, shared with the XUV400 electric. This replaces the older 7-inch touchscreen and also gets a higher placement for better ergonomics. Also, the center console is now redesigned, exuding a more premium and practical aura.

4. Connected Tail Lamps
A new launch without the tasteful connected tail lamps? Mostly NO! This is something that is fast becoming a norm in the industry, stemming from the fact that people adore them. The connected lightbar looks nice and adds that extra little, yet significant touch to the rear of the vehicle. While it looks its best when illuminated at night, the daytime visuals, if designed thoughtfully, are something to admire as well.
5. Ventilated Front Seats And ADAS Highly Likely
While all of the above are confirmed bits, the ventilated front seats and ADAS is something that we would love to see on the Mahindra 3XO. And at the same time, these are highly likely to be introduced keeping in mind that Sonet offers both of these already. Gone are the days when these were limited to just high-end vehicles, as now the affordable segment has democratized these features.
Verdict
XUV300 has done what it could and is now towards the end of its time. The moniker will now rest, and so does its woes. The upcoming Mahindra 3XO not only covers the areas where it lagged, it hits them hard. It is now feels more premium, bumped-um in tech, and talking about aesthetics, it looks as good as the XUV300.
