2021 saw several car launches getting delayed. The pandemic, coupled with the semi-conductor chip crisis, postponed the plans of several auto manufacturers. However, that did not stop cars from getting launched, and with the situations improving, auto-manufacturers are gearing up for an exciting new year with a series of launches. Below we have compiled a list of 6 such cars that will launch in the first month of 2022.

Facelift Skoda Kodiaq
Launch (January 10, 2022)
Estimated Price: Rs. 35 Lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi)
Skoda had discontinued the Kodiaq before due to BS6 norms, and because it used to come with a diesel engine only. With the facelift, the 2022 Kodiaq will have a new petrol heart. The exterior will also receive design updates and the interior will see quite the premium features as well.
Some of these features include, ventilated and heated seats with massage functions, 10-colour ambient lighting, and a 2-spoke steering wheel, the same as seen on the Kushaq, Octavia, and Slavia. The Kodiaq will compete against the likes of the Mahindra Alturas G4, Toyota Fortuner, and Jeeps new 7-seater SUV called the Meridian

Toyota Hilux
Launch (January 2022, Exact Date Yet To Be Confirmed)
Estimated Price: Rs. 22 lakhs Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi)
Toyotas sturdiest and most reliable vehicle, the Hilux is all set for launch in January 2022. The exact date is yet to be confirmed, however, Toyota has already commenced the bookings of their upcoming pick-up truck in select Toyota Kirloskar showrooms. The Hilux will be based on the same platform as the Fortuner and the Innova Crysta, but it will have a longer wheelbase, compared to the other two. The Toyota Hilux does not have much competition in the pick-up truck segment, except for the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.

Tata Altroz DCT
Launch (January 2022, Exact Date Yet To Be Confirmed)
Estimated Price: Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi)
January 2022 will mark the second-year anniversary of Tatas premium hatchback, the Altroz. Just like the manufacturer had unveiled the Turbo variant of the Altroz, on its first year anniversary. We believe that the Indian manufacturer might repeat the same feat next month, by introducing a DCT option that will be available with Altroz turbo variant, only. Aside from that, the 2022 Altroz will not have any aesthetic changes as such.
Facelifted Audi Q7
Launch (January 2022, Exact Date Yet To Be Confirmed)
Estimated Price: Rs. Rs. 80 lakh onwards (ex-showroom price, Delhi)
Just like the Kodiaq, Audi had also discontinued the Q7 from the Indian market due to stricter BS6 emission norms. It also used to come with a standard V6 diesel engine, and the new 2022 Q7 will come with a V6 petrol engine. Aside from that, the Q7 will boast an updated exterior design, and the interior will boast of the same premium features, it's known for. The 2022 Audi Q7 will compete against the likes of the Mercedes Benz GLS, Land Rover Range Rover, and the Volvo XC90.

Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor CNG
Launch (January 2022 (Exact Date Yet To Be Confirmed)
Expected Price: Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 80,000 over petrol counterparts, respectively.
Tata is scheduled to launch the Tigor and Tiago with factory-fitted CNG kits by the end of January 2022. Both the cars will continue to use the same 1.2-litre petrol engine. And the CNG variants will be available with lower variants only. When it comes to rivals, Tiagos competition includes the Wagon R and Santro, and both get CNG variants. But the Tigors competition does not have any CNG alternative.
