Update - Audi India has revealed the launch date of the Q2 which is October 16. Audi will launch the Q2 digitally and it will be offered in multiple trims.
Audi India is wafting on the fast lane with back to back launches. The Audi Q2 will be the fifth launch from the German marque this year in India and it will be the most affordable Audi to buy. Audi has started taking bookings for the Q2 crossover and the launch of the Q2 will happen soon. The bookings of the Q2 are now open and one can book it from Audi India website by paying INR 2 lakh.
The Audi Q2 recently got a mid-cycle facelift in the global markets. Unfortunately, the facelifted model is not coming to India and we get the Edition #1 model of the Q2. The Audi Q2 Edition #1 was launched back in 2016 in the global markets with some cosmetic tweaking. The same model is coming to India and Audi India may sell it alongside the regular model.

Out on the exteriors, we get LED headlights and taillights with dynamic turn indicators, blacked-out single-frame grille and blacked elements on the bumpers too. Moving to the side, in the signature grey colour, we have dual-tone five-spoke 19-inch rims. The side blades are inspired from the R8 and get subtle Audi logos. Moving to the rear, we have cubical-shaped LED taillights and twin exhaust pipes.
Stepping inside the Audi Q2 and you will realise its like older Audi cars. The turbine-shaped AC vents and clean dashboard being the main reason. The main screen is 8.3-inch infotainment which is MMI-controlled and offers Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Audi offers the Virtual Cockpit and rear powered tailgate as an option. Minimalist people will love the tactile buttons for the HVAC controls which in newer Audis, have been replaced by screens. It may feel short on equipment when compared to the newer Audi models because it is an older Audi model.
Talking about the powerhouse, Audi is going with a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox and 0-100 km/h comes up in 6.5 seconds. Audi India will also offer the "Peace of Mind" package with the Q2 to the early bookers which include 5-year comprehensive service package, 2+3 year extended warranty and 2+3 year roadside assistance. Audi Q2 will be sold via the CBU route which means it will cost more than the competition. We expect the price to roam in the region of 35-40 lakh ex-showroom and launch may happen this month.
