Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike - Waiting Period Details
While Bajaj has opened the bookings and commenced the deliveries pan-India, the Freedom 125 is available in the Maharashtra and Gujarat markets initially. The waiting periods, as per an online report, range between 30 days to 45 days, depending on the region chosen to get the delivery of the bike. As per the report, Maharashtra customers will have to wait 20-30 days (in Mumbai) and 30-45 days (in Pune), to get their bikes delivered. Additionally, Gujarat customers will have to wait 45 days or even up to 3 months, depending on the location.
Now, considering the fact that the bookings are open nationwide, the Freedom 125 customers will surely have to wait at least a month before getting their bikes delivered. The booking amount for the bike stands at Rs 1,000 only and its pricing is Rs 95,000 to Rs 1.10 lakh, depending on the variant. Bajaj is offering it in three variants, which are mainly differed by an LED headlight and a front disc brake.
Powering the world's first CNG bike is a bi-fuel petrol-CNG hybrid 125cc air-cooled engine. The horizontal engine develops a peak power output of 9.4bhp and a peak torque of 9.7Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The fuel efficiency figures as per ARAI are 101 km/kg for CNG and 65 kmpl for petrol. Combined, the motorcycle can deliver more than 330 km of range. It has a 2-litre CNG fuel tank and a 2-litre petrol fuel tank.
