BMW CE 02 And CE 04: Battery, Range, And More
TVS's Hosur plant has taken on the task of producing the BMW CE 02, with recent data from the SIAM report showing that 924 units were exported in March 2024. Meanwhile, the CE 04 is exclusively manufactured in Germany. Both the CE 04 and CE 02 are built on a sturdy steel double-loop frame.
The BMW CE 02 comes packed with an externally excited air-cooled synchronous motor. It runs on a 2kWh battery, delivering a punchy 15 bhp and 55 nm of torque. Zooming from 0 to 30 mph takes just 3.0 seconds. Plus, you have the option of a single battery setup, offering a range of 45km and a top speed of 45kmph, or you can go for the dual battery setup, extending the range to 90km and the top speed to 95kmph.
On the other hand, the CE 04 boasts a permanent-magnet liquid-cooled synchronous motor, dishing out a beefy 42 bhp and 61.9 nm of torque. With a claimed range of 130km and the ability to go from 0-30kmph in just 2.6 seconds, it's no slouch. Charging is a breeze too, taking only 65 minutes to go from 0% to 80%.
