Ahead of its launch today (10/07/2024), details of the BYD Atto 3 base and mid trims have been leaked. Initially, only the "Superior" trim was expected to be released. However, the Chinese manufacturer will now also introduce two additional trims: "Dynamic" and "Premium". Without further ado, let's jump in! Powertrain of the BYD Atto 3
The base model of the this EV will come with a 50 kWh battery pack. It will have the same power and torque specifications as the other trims, but it will offer a slightly lower range of 468 km. The Premium and Superior models to get the bigger 60 kWh battery pack with 521 Km of range.
Additionally, these battery packs are compatible with DC fast charging, which can charge from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes. The base Dynamic trim supports 70 kW fast charging, while the Premium and Superior trims support 80 kW fast charging.

Features of BYD Atto 3
The base varient doesn't get adaptive headlights, ADAS, powered tailgate, ambient lightning with several colour options, and only 6 speakers sound system. However, every varients gets a panaromic sunroof, 6-way power adjustable driver seat, 12.8 inch rotating screen, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 5-inch digital driver's display.
Additionally, every model will come equipped with seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, hill descent control, downhill control, and ISOFIX child-seat anchorage.
Expected Price
We can expect the price of this electric vehicle to be around 25 lakh for the base trim, while the top-spec variant will sell for 25 lakh ex-showroom. Upon release, it will compete head-to-head with the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Harrier EV, and Maruti eVX.
