Nissan will soon launch the Magnite sub-compact SUV in the Indian market. The bookings for the same are now open and it is scheduled to be launched on November 26, 2020. Though the upcoming Nissan Magnite will be the most affordable car in its segment, it will pack in a lot of features including a 360-degree parking camera, air purifier, etc. It will be powered by a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This motor will churn out 72 PS of power at 6250 RPM and 96 Nm of peak torque at 3500 RPM.
It will also get a new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor will churn out 100 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 160 Nm of peak torque at 2800 - 3600 RPM (152 Nm of torque at 2200 - 4400 RPM for CVT). Both the engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox but the turbo petrol will also get a CVT. The upcoming Nissan Magnite is expected to be priced between Rs. 5.50 lakhs - Rs. 9.55 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Hyundai Venue

Hyundai Venue was launched in India in May 2019 and it was the first sub-compact SUV in the Indian market to get an air purifier as a factory fitment from the company. The Venue packs in a lot of other goodies too. Talking about the powertrain options, it gets a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. It also gets a powerful BS6-compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.
