Toyota has finally launched the 2022 GR-S edition of Fortuner in India at a price of Rs 48.43 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. What's new are some cosmetic changes, added features and tweaked suspension as GR-S stands for Gazoo Racing. It sits above the already popular Legender variant.

The changes on the 2022 Toyota Fortuner GR-S include a restyled front grille design, front and rear bumpers, all-black alloy wheels and GR-S badging to differentiate it from the other variants. The badging is observed on the bootlid, fenders and front lower grille.
Toyota has made changes on the inside too so this variant stands different from the regular versions of the Fortuner. The all-black interior with contrast red stitching, GR-badging on the steering wheel, sporty pedals and a new multi-information display.

Powering the Fortuner GR-S edition will be the same 2.8L oil burner. This four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel unit belts out as much as 201 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 500 Nm. It will be paired to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and will get a four-wheel-drive system.
