Top End 4WD Variant Is Quite Costly
Only the top-end model offers 4WD, and its cost is a little high. The top-spec variant, which costs Rs 34.39 lakh (ex-showroom), is not a VFM variant. Although, it has all the bells and whistles, paying close to Rs 35 lakh for a 5-seater SUV is fairly pricey. Some 7-seater SUVs are available at this price bracket, however they may lack certain features.
No Turbo Petrol Engine
The turbocharged petrol engine used by the competition is more powerful than the 2.0-liter NA engine available in Tucson. The Tucson's petrol engine only produces 154 bhp of power, while its rival Jeep Compass' turbocharged petrol engine produces 163 bhp and the Volkswagen Tiguan's 190 bhp of power
