Citroen India has revealed the complete price list of the Citroen Basalat coupe SUV. The Citroen Basalt is the 4th vehicle in the Citroen India lineup and is priced in the range of Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom). Citroen Basalt Price & Variants
The Citroen Basalt is available in 3 variants namely You, Plus, and Max. These variants are available with a 1.2-litre NA and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The NA petrol engine is available with a manual transmission only, while the turbo petrol engine is available with a manual and an AT unit.

Citroen Basalt Design & Features
The Basalt boasts coupe styling with a similar front profile as the C3 Aircross and C3 hatchback. The rear gets a wraparound LED taillamp, raked rear windscreen, and silver skid plate among other design elements. The side profile gets 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and flip door handles.
Citroen India has given a decent number of features in the Basalt. It comes with the same dashboard layout as the C3 Aircross with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital instrument console. Other features inside the cabin include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, wireless charging, and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVM. For comfort, it gets a front armrest with storage and sliding function, the rear seat gets first in segment winged headrest and under-thigh support adjustment.
Citroen Basalt Engine Specifications
The Basalt comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82 PS of power and 115 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The other engine option is a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with 110 PS of power. The torque of this engine varies based on the transmission option. The engine produces 190 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual and 205 Nm of torque with AT gearbox.

Verdict
Citroen has checked the right boxes with the pricing of the Basalt. Based on the features it offers, it is priced well to compete with well established rivals like the Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos and other. However, competitors offer more features and a more premium cabin experience. While the Citroen Basalt has a smaller engine compared to its rivals, it makes up for it with excellent suspension, ride quality, and spaciousness
