Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic
In August of last year, the brand had already showcased the automatic version of the C3 Aircross at the Indonesia International Auto Show. Speculations were already circulating, suggesting that the debut of automatic variants in India would take place in 2024. Now, as per a recent media report, this launch is slated for January. The C3 Aircross Automatic will be offered in two variants, namely Plus and Max, while the manual transmission version comes in three variants named You, Plus, and Max.
Notably, the automatic version showcased in Indonesia is manufactured in India and features 15 Nm more torque than the manual variants. The automatic variant boasts a torque output of 205 Nm, whereas the Indian-spec manual variant delivers 190 Nm of torque. Anticipated performance for the automatic variant in India is expected to mirror this increased torque. In terms of specifications, the Citroen C3 Aircross is equipped with a 1.2L GEN 3 Turbo PureTech 110 Engine, providing a power output of 110 PS and a peak torque of 190 Nm. This engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
In terms of features, the SUV comes with a good number of user-friendly technology features. These include a standard 7-inch Intelli-Smart TFT Cluster, a 10.25-inch Citroen Connect 35 system with wireless compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as My Citroen Connect. Furthermore, it incorporates the Standard Advanced Tech Suite, which includes ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Hold, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), and Engine Auto Start/Stop functionality.

Verdict
The Citroen C3 Aircross is competitively priced and offers flexible seating options with removable third-row seats. Positioned in the mid-size SUV segment, it competes with other models like the Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, Honda Elevate, and more. The only current drawback is the non-availability of an automatic transmission. If the brand introduces an automatic variant by the end of this month, it could potentially lead to an increase in sales figures.
