Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that churns out 75 bhp of power and 190 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT and is the only car in its segment to get a diesel-auto combo. Tata Altroz gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor that produces 89 bhp and 200 Nm, mated to only a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Ford Figo and Freestyle get the same oil-burner under their hood. The diesel mill is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged unit that churns out 99 bhp and 215 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
