But what's really caught our attention are a couple of variants that we can't seem to find on the official website anymore namely, the Longitude AT FWD and Limited (O) 4x4 AT. Does this mean these trims have been discontinued? It's hard to say for sure without official confirmation from the carmaker. We'll have to wait and see what unfolds.
Jeep Compass: Under The Hood
The Jeep Compass offers a sole 2.0-liter diesel engine, providing 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. It comes matched with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The standard configuration includes two-wheel drive for both gearbox options, while the all-wheel-drive feature is exclusively available with the 9-speed automatic transmission.
It competes directly with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson, and Citroen C5 Aircross.
Verdict
Customers opting for the base variant can enjoy significant savings through discount offers, effectively reducing its price. However, there's a slight disappointment for those considering other variants due to a modest price increase.
