Skoda Enyaq iV 85: What Do We Know So Far?
While it is not the first time that it has been spotted, the Enyaq test mule spied by us was completely camouflaged. The Enyaq iV is based on the MEB platform by Volkswagen, which we also see on the ID.4. Enyaq is a long SUV with a wide stance. The design of it has simple and bold lines like a true Skoda car. At the front, the closed and illuminated grille with vertical slats gives it a unique appeal. Another interesting detail is its slanting roof design which gives it a coupe-like highlight.
Moreover, the long wheelbase is evident from the side and indicates that the second-row comfort will be very relaxing. Also, the 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with Bridgestone tyres look fantastic on them. At the rear, the slanting spoiler and the Kodiaq-like taillight design enhance its appeal. The spied car has a charging port on the conventional fuel refilling driver side. The port is present at the rear quarter panel of the car.
As the car was spotted inside the Skoda's production factory, the charger installed was a fast charger. While we could not take photos of its interiors, the cabin of Kodiaq will get a premium finish with a low-slung dashboard enriched with leather upholstery. The two-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument console, and a floating-type big infotainment screen are the highlights at the front. Skoda will also equip it with features like ADAS, a 360-degree parking system, and more.

Enyaq iV Battery, Range, Rivals, Price, Launch: Details
As per online rumours, Skoda is likely to equip it with a 77kWh battery pack. This battery pack will offer a driving range between 500-550 km per charge. Also, its MEB platform will allow it to be equipped with dual-electric motors at both ends, hence, AWD will also be offered. Currently, Enyaq is undergoing road tests, while Skoda is working on the India 2.5 expansion strategy. Skoda is planning to launch a new compact SUV by March 2025; which will sit below Kushaq.
As per our anticipation, the Enyaq iV will debut in India by the end of this year. It is expected to be priced around Rs 50-55 lakh (introductory). Skoda will most probably bring the Enyaq as a CBU. The current rivals of Enyaq iV in India are the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
Verdict
Skoda's India 2.0 strategy worked fine and the sales figure via Slavia and Kushaq is inspiring. With the growing trend of EVs, the Enyaq iV will stand apart in the current premium EV category. It'll also help Skoda to expand its portfolio in India and strengthen its image. Tell us in the comments about your thoughts and views on the Enyaq iV.
