Nissan Magnite facelift was long due and looking at everything that it brought with it, it seems to have done a good job. While it brings a few interesting things to the table, it leaves behind its arch-rival, the Hyundai Exter in some key things. In this section, we cover the features that the Nissan Magnite offers over the Hyundai Exter. But before that, make sure you don't forget to join our 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel, specifically curated for all the avid petrolheads, just like us.

1. Fully Digital Instrument Cluster
The updated Nissan Magnite offers a 7-inch fully digital drivers display from the mid-spec N-Connecta variant, which is a big plus when compared to the Exter, which offers a semi-digital unit across all the variants. This is again a big tech boost for the new entrant.
2. 360-Degree Camera
The higher-spec Tekna variant of the Nissan Magnite features a 360-degree camera along with blind spot assist. In contrast, the Hyundai Exter is equipped only with a reverse parking camera and a dashcam. This is something that will give an edge to the Magnite in terms of safety features.
3. Auto Dimming IRVM
This feature is something that I like the most, just for its visual aesthetics. The pre-facelift Magnite featured a day/night inside rearview mirror, much like the Exter. However, the facelifted version of the Nissan sub-4m SUV now includes an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror starting from the mid-spec N-Connecta variant.
4. 4 Colour Ambient Lighting
The 2024 Magnite features 4-color ambient lighting, available exclusively on the top-spec Tekna Plus variant. In contrast, the Hyundai Exter does not offer any ambient lighting whatsoever. This little addition goes a long way and I personally feel that it adds character and is a feel-good thing to have.
Verdict
The Magnite facelift has been a long time coming, and taking a look at all that it offers within the price range, Nissan is looking forward to keep its fare share of the segment to itsef. While it has done decently for the brand's survival, with the X-Trail now supporting it, the brand could strech a bit and look for taking risks that it earlier wasn't able to take.
