Ford is really an old brand present in the Indian market and while the initial services by them were not that great, however, with time, they pulled up the strings and became the most loved carmaker. Their products initially were built like a tank but the only problem was the service. Here, in this article, we talk about the Ford cars present in India and they range from a humble hatchback to 4x4 SUV.
Ford Figo
Also known as the diesel rocket, Figo is the most fun to drive hatchback in its segment. The 1.5L diesel is frugal and yet delivers an excellent fuel economy. The 99 bhp with 215 Nm of peak torque mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox is a package. There's a humble 1.2L petrol too that churns out 95 horses with 119 Nm of peak torque.

However, the sales of the hatchback has not been good since a few years. It comes with features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, automatic climate control, electronic IRVM, tilt adjustable steering wheel, power folding ORVMs and a touchscreen infotainment unit. However, it does not comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which is a disappointment. The prices of Figo sticks from Rs 5.82 lakh to Rs 8.37 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Ford Aspire
The Aspire is a stretched up Figo that competes with Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor. The compact sedan carries the same engine options and mostly all the features the Figo gets. The only difference is the increased length and the bootspace. The base variant of the Aspire starts from Rs 7.27 lakh and top model is placed at Rs 8.72 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Ford Freestyle
The crossover that is priced from Rs 7.27 lakh to Rs 9.02 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi is a lot different than the Figo. Yes, the design is somewhat identical but the Freestyle is more equipped, has an aesthetic appeal along with more features. Top variants get hill hold and traction control that makes driving a bit easier on rough terrains. Also, the 190 mm of ground clearance is as close to some mid-size SUVs. One such popular example is Hyundai Creta.
Ford Ecosport
If there's one no nonsense compact SUV then it is the Ecosport. The 1.5L diesel may not be the strongest diesel out there but it is reliable. This is the same diesel as found in Ford Figo. The petrol is quite peppy as the 1.5L pumps out 121 bhp with 149 Nm of peak torque. Both the engine gets a 5-speed manual gearbox whereas the petrol does get an automatic as a option.

The Ecosport is build to last like a tank. The prices of Ford Ecosport sticks between Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 11.70 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Ford Endeavour
The big daddy of 4x4s, Endeavour is a whole package as it packs in top of the line features and can literally go on any terrain. The BS6 compliant Endy has a downsized 2.0L diesel unit but it surely makes up for the fuel economy it lacked before. A 10-speed gearbox and the engine churning out 168 bhp with 420 Nm of peak torque. The Endeavour is priced from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 36.25 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
