Thanks to the impeccable reliability of the Vitara, the owners don't face any problems and it just covers miles like no other. But does that mean other cars aren't reliable and long-lasting? We have a myth breaker today, the ownership review of the Ford EcoSport which has clocked over 2.50 lakh kilometres in around 5 years of ownership.

This is the 2015 Ford EcoSport 1.5 TDCi and it belongs to Mr Ragesh and within a time of less than six years, the car has covered 2.5 lakh kilometres on the ODO. He is part of the 'Ford EcoSport Owners in India' group that is managed and run by passionate fans like Karan Vazirani, Deepak Haria and Ajay Agnihotri. The owner calls his car very robust and reliable as he hasn't faced any breakdown or any major repair which had bothered him. Talking about the repairs which have been done till now, other than the regular service, the suspension has been repaired but the equipment is still factory fitted.
Only some niggles which the suspension showed after 1 lakh kilometres were fixed, rest of the parts are still stock and running perfectly fine. The car still rides like new without any rattles and squeaks and the ride quality is great too. Surprisingly, you may ask about any major repairs and expensive services? Well, that isn't the case with Ford. The service cost comes at an average of Rs 5000-6000 and the only major service which was done at 1 lakh kilometres, that cost around Rs 13,000 which is affordable.
The engine still runs like new and the gearbox is still smooth. There hasn't been any power loss since these years and the pick up is still great. The car not only drives as new but also looks as new, All thanks to the owner who has kept his car very carefully. The grey-coloured cladding and bumpers suit the black colour of the car. All the electronics of the car are working fine and you will be shocked, the rear brake pads are still working even after 2.5 lakh kilometres. This EcoSport from Gujrat is a perfect example of reliability Ford offers.
