Connected Tech is becoming very popular in India. If you remember, until a few years ago, the connected features were offered by the automakers only on their premium cars and motorcycles. However, now we get to see them on affordable ones too. If we talk about two-wheelers, TVS Motor Company has been the pioneer in bringing connected tech in affordable motorcycles and scooters. Finally, after TVS, Suzuki and Yamaha, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer - Hero MotoCorp has now announced the launch of smartphone connectivity tech for its vehicles. The company has launched the Hero Connect App and here we have for you all the details about it.
The Hero Connect Application isn't a new thing. It was introduced earlier this year, in February 2020 to be precise, on the Hero Xpulse 200. However, what's new now is that the two-wheeler maker is offering this smartphone connectivity on its affordable budget scooters too, namely the Destini 125 and the Hero Pleasure Plus. This feature will be available on these three Hero MotoCorp products as an option when you purchase them. Moreover, it can be installed on existing Hero vehicles too. The company has launched it at an introductory price of Rs. 4,999. This introductory price will remain valid for a very limited period of time, post which it will cost Rs. 6,499.

Talking about its features, this new Hero Connect App will offer the riders various safety and security features. It will also provide information related to the ride statistics like speed alert and trip analysis. Also, it offers a very interesting parameter called Driving Score. Now, as the name suggests, the app will give you a score based on your riding behavioural pattern. Some other features of this Hero Connect Application include live tracking which gives you real-time tracking of your vehicle along with last parked location and geo-fencing. There is also an alert for tow-away and a very useful safety feature called topple alert. What it will do is that it will send an application notification to the registered mobile number as well as emergency contacts in case the system detects that the vehicle has toppled.
